The Indian Society of Dukhan (ISD) was established in June 2000 under the aegis of Embassy of India Doha, Qatar. ISD brings all Indian expatriates in Dukhan on a common platform to share their collective interests for the betterment of themselves and others. The organization conducts various community programs, cultural activities and humanitarian services to the community in and around Dukhan. Working together in partnership with one another and with the Qatar Petroleum community, the ISD aims to make Dukhan an even better place to live, work for all its citizens.

Indian Embassy consular service team provides service at JRC premises every 4th Friday of each month. Service will be available at JRC from 10:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs & at Zekreet ( Gulfar Al Miznad Office) from 13:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs.

ISD Grand Quiz -2010

Indian Society of Dukhan (ISD) conducted the Grand Quiz Contest on Tuesday, 27th April 2010 evening at JRC Main hall. Mr. Wilfred Gonsalves, committee member of ISD, welcomed all and introduced the Quiz master Mr. Ravi Shankar who anchored the Quiz. The Guests at the evening were Mr. Mark Pilling - Senior Instructor, QP, Dukhan and Mrs. Patricia Burnham – Deputy Head Mistress of Dukhan English School. At the end of the exciting competition the winners were Nakul & Vandya (Team C) followed by Sudheesh & Avinash (Team D) at second position and Nidhi & Yazan (Team B) at third position. Indian Republicday celebrations-2010

Indian Society of Dukhan, celebrated the 61st Republic Day of India with a variety of colourful cultural programmes held at Dukhan Cinema on Sunday, 31st January 2010 evening. Mr. Sanjiv Kohli, charge d affairs, Embassy of India, Qatar, was the Chief Guest of the day. Mr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Baker, Head of Clubs, Catering and PR, Mr. Subait Hassawi, Clubs Supervisor, were the other guests who attended the function.
